No. 28 City of London - Cloud ( series 3: City of London )

This is the 4th in my City of London series. My inspirations are varied. I painted a gold cloud on an earlier multi media work. Also I was very taken with David Hockney's depiction of rain in A Year in Normandie which I had seen earlier that week at the Serpentine Gallery. I’m still also being very influenced by reading about the surrealists and I think a touch of Magritte has crept in here, both in the stylised cloud and also the colour grey.
